ASME Journals Digital Submission Tool Guidelines and Information

National Institutes of Health (NIH) Public Access Policy

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Public Access Policy is in agreement with the ASME Vision “to be the essential resource for mechanical engineers and other technical professionals throughout the world for solutions that benefit humankind.”

ASME acknowledges that journal authors retain the right to provide a copy of the final manuscript to the NIH for public archiving in PubMed Central.

ASME authors can submit their NIH-funded work to PubMed Central (PMC) in the 12th month of the print publication.

ASME will submit papers to PMC on behalf of authors if this option is selected during the submission of production files.

ASME supports timely and affordable access to scholarly publications and makes its journal and proceedings content available worldwide through the ASME Digital Collection (http://asmedigitalcollection.asme.org/).
