Quiz: Supersonic Flight's Comeback

Supersonic travel has been on a hiatus since the early 2000s, but appears ready for a resurgence. See if you're up to speed with this ASME quiz.
The Concorde was the first supersonic passenger jet when it launched service in 1976. But in the decades after its introduction, supersonic flight in this form never really took off, mostly because of the steep costs required to run these planes. Despite that, the Concorde still flew for several decades, with its final flights in 2003.

Since then, supersonic jets—at least in the commercial space—have been nonexistant. But multiple companies are looking to change that in 2024, from private startups all the way up to NASA. See what you know about the revival of supersonic flight in this ASME quiz.
