Steven Roberts, P.E., ASME Fellow, has worked as a mechanical static engineer for over 35 years. His main role has been to provide technical assurance for the design and fabrication of mechanical static equipment and piping systems. He has provided this technical assurance with a focus on pressure vessels constructed in accordance with ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and Division 2, through oversight of other engineers developing specifications for procurement, and by conducting audits and overseeing the construction of the equipment in fabrication facilities around the world.
He is a member and past chair of ASME B&PVC, Section VIII Committee. Mr. Roberts is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas, an ASME Fellow, and is also a Certified National Board Pressure Equipment Inspector, ASME Construction.
After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Steven began his career in 1990 and has worked with the ASME Committees since 1998.
