ECLIPSE: Where ASME’s Next Leaders Begin
Looking to advance your engineering career and get more involved with ASME?
ASME's ECLIPSE program gives early career engineers exclusive access to mentorship, volunteer opportunities, and real-world experience within ASME. Participants work alongside ASME's volunteer leaders, contributing to Society-level initiatives and gaining the skills needed to guide the future of ASME.

ECLIPSE applications open in early October
Why ECLIPSE?
ECLIPSE empowers early career engineers to grow as leaders through volunteer service, mentorship, and meaningful contributions to ASME initiatives.
Through the program, participants:
- Gain direct exposure to ASME's volunteer leadership community
- Receive mentoring by high-level ASME volunteers
- Make significant contributions to divisions, sections, boards, and committees
- Expand their professional network across industries, disciplines, and geographies
- Build a foundation for future volunteer and governance opportunities within ASME
Application Process
ECLIPSE is open to early career ASME members who:- Have at least three years of professional experience in industry or academia
- Are under age 35 or within 10 years of completing a bachelor's degree
- Demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism, professional growth, and leadership development
- Are interested in becoming more actively engaged within ASME
Applications will open early October and close February annually. Candidates will be notified of application decisions by the end of March.

| June | Participate in person at ASME Annual Business Meeting Regular virtual group meetings, including one in-person during the program year |
| June following year | Participate in person at second ASME Annual Meeting Other meetings depending on unit served |
