Introduction to ASME BPV Code, Section VIII, Division 1 (On Demand)

Are you tasked with the design or fabrication of pressure vessels, but are not sure where to begin with code requirements? This training course is a comprehensive introduction to the requirements of the current edition of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), Section VIII, Division 1. It provides a unique insight into the background and organization of the code and covers the design and construction requirements of the Code along with the requirements applicable to materials, fabrication, inspection, testing, and certification of pressure vessels. The course also highlights the most commonly applied subsections, paragraphs, and appendices.

Video recordings of Live Virtual Classroom sessions taught by ASME’s expert Instructor are included to explain how to complete a user design requirement (UDR) form, select materials, identify design load conditions, determine post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) requirements, prepare data reports, perform relevant example calculations on formed and flat heads, nozzle reinforcement, axial compression, and much more!
