Call for Nominations: 2026 Mechanical Engineering Watch List
Nominations are now open for the 2026 Mechanical Engineering Watch List, an annual selection of early-career engineers making meaningful contributions across the profession.
ASME’s award-winning Mechanical Engineering magazine is now accepting nominations for the “2026 Watch List,” an annual selection recognizing 25 early career engineers for their efforts and impact in shaping the future of mechanical engineering.

Now returning for its third year, the Watch List highlights engineers who advance breakthrough research, develop the technologies of tomorrow, launch bold startups, lead teams to excellence, and amplify the voice of engineering worldwide.
The 2024 and 2025 Watch Lists spotlighted individuals from across industry, academia, leadership, startups, and outreach whose work reflects their commitment to the betterment of society through engineering.
Nominees for the 2026 Watch List will be selected by the Mechanical Engineering editorial team based on the following criteria:
Submissions are open to engineers across all technical fields with a mechanical engineering background. Self-nominations are welcome. Multiple nominations may be submitted.
The 2026 Watch List will be publicly announced in the June 2026 issue of Mechanical Engineering magazine and on ASME.org. The winners will be featured across ASME’s digital channels and be awarded a digital badge and complimentary one-year ASME membership.
