    Upcoming VOLT Events

    The VOLT Academy offers a variety of leadership training and orientation events for ASME volunteers throughout the year, including  general leadership development workshops on topics relevant to ASME’s volunteer leaders for all interested volunteers as well as specialized training for various ASME units and volunteers in leadership roles throughout the Society.     VOLT Workshop: Creating a Successful ASME Initiative

    Starting a new initiative or program within ASME is challenging and rewarding endeavor. There are many considerations, from finding the leadership team to support the program and aligning with ASME’s goals, to funding and ensuring ongoing success. This workshop is designed to allow participants to dig deep and discover where the passion for volunteerism lies. 

    ASME L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Education, and Development) is a student development program centered around educating college-level students in the oil and gas industry, and engaging them with ASME during their school years and beyond. In this workshop, we will look at how to build a new program and find success year over year, using ASME L.E.A.D. as an example.  

    Learning Objectives: 
    • As a result of attending this workshop, participants will be able to identify the components for a successful ASME initiative, including the volunteer team, funding, engagement, and growth.
